A Fascinating Find

Sometimes you stumble across a fascinating find and last week was one of those times. In my stockroom with unsorted stock I came across a book produced ( but not for publication ) by Eyre and Spottiswoode for the visit of the Nepalese Prime Minister to Dreadnought in July 1908. A beautiful blue leather bound book with gilt royal crest and title, silk inside covers, photos and a map folded into the pocket in the inside cover. Enhancing the already fascinating book is a handwritten comparison of Dreadnought with other naval ships, HMS King George V and HMS Vanguard, by a midshipman in the royal navy. A wonderful piece of history I can hold onto until a new owner comes forward.
